Getting Older Shouldn’t Mean Giving Things Up
Whether it’s traveling, golfing, gardening, walking, swimming, playing with your grandchildren, or simply feeling confident moving through your everyday life — your body should support the life you want to live. I’m Gabby, the founder of Energy Aligned Fitness. I created it because I believe getting older should never mean giving up the things that make life enjoyable.
I Learned That Age Doesn’t Tell You What a Body Is Capable Of
One of the clients who has stayed with me the most was a 92-year-old woman who came to my classes for years. She moved with incredible strength, control, and confidence. Her form was often better than people decades younger than her. She changed the way I thought about aging. She showed me that your age doesn’t automatically determine how strong, mobile, or capable you can be. The right movement, practiced consistently, can make an incredible difference.
What I Kept Seeing
Over the past five years, I’ve worked with older adults through personal training, assisted stretching, yoga, strength training, water aerobics, and group fitness.
I kept seeing the same challenges come up:
Tight muscles
Back, hip, and knee discomfort
Decreasing strength
Balance challenges
Fear of falling
Worry that everyday activities will get harder — or that independence could be lost
But I also noticed something else. Most people were only addressing one piece of the puzzle.
Someone might walk every day but never strength train. Someone else might stretch but never work on balance. Another person might lift weights but have very limited mobility.
Every type of movement has value. But the body needs more than one piece. That’s what led me to create Energy Aligned Fitness.
The Whole Picture Matters
My experience taught me that walks, strength training, yoga, mobility work, water exercise, stretching, and personal training can all serve a purpose. But when you bring those pieces together into a routine that’s realistic, personalized, and sustainable, you create a much bigger result.
Sometimes you need the right exercise.
Sometimes you need a better routine.
Sometimes you need accountability.
And sometimes you just need someone who understands your body and can help you figure out where to start.
You shouldn’t have to become a fitness expert to take care of your body. That’s my job.
What I Want for My Clients
One of my favorite parts of this work is seeing clients accomplish things that go far beyond what happens during a workout. I’ve worked with clients who have gone from chronic back pain to moving comfortably. I’ve seen people improve their strength, mobility, and confidence in ways they never expected.
One client originally came to me because she wanted to lose weight. But after four months, the changes that stood out most weren’t on the scale. She had built significant strength, could touch her toes comfortably, and had gone from chronic back pain to no pain at all. She could perform more squats than some people half her age. That’s the kind of progress I care about.
It’s being able to:
Touch your toes and tie your shoes. Get up and down from the floor. Feel steadier when you walk. Build enough core strength to support your back. Walk farther without feeling limited. Rotate your spine more freely and improve your golf swing. Move quicker and feel more confident playing pickleball. Say yes to the things you enjoy.
I don’t believe fitness should be about looking a certain way or lifting the heaviest weight in the room. The older adults I’ve had the privilege of working with have taught me that what matters most is being able to live your life fully and independently. And that’s something I deeply value myself.
Why Energy Aligned Fitness Exists
I created Energy Aligned Fitness because I wanted to bring everything I’ve learned into one approach:
Strength
Mobility
Balance
Flexibility
Stretching
Mindful movement
Accountability
Not because you need to do everything — but because your program should address the whole picture of how you want to move and live.
My goal is simple: to help you stay strong enough to do more, mobile enough to keep moving, and confident enough to keep saying yes to the life you love.
Every Body Has a History
Bodies over 50 come with histories — surgeries, diagnoses, old injuries, and a healthy fear of making something worse. I’ve worked with clients navigating spinal stenosis, spinal fusion, hip and knee replacements, Parkinson’s disease, and other physical limitations. There is no one “right” way to move. The goal isn’t to compare you to anyone else — it’s to understand where you are today and help you discover what your body is capable of. Which is why I can tell you honestly: you are not too old, too stiff, or too far along to start.

My Credentials & Experience
✓ 200-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher
✓ ACE Personal Trainer
✓ 5+ Years of Group Exercise
✓ Professional Assisted Stretching Experience
✓ CPR & AED Certified
✓ Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology
My background across different movement disciplines lets me take a well-rounded approach rather than relying on a single training method. My psychology degree shapes how I coach just as much. Starting something new is rarely only physical — it involves confidence, fear of re-injury, and past experiences that didn’t go well. Understanding that side of it is often the difference between a program someone tries and one someone sticks with.
“I used to have trouble tying my own shoes. I went for physical therapy and they told me there was nothing wrong with me — it was just a lifetime of not stretching… 6 months later I am tying my own shoes like an Olympic champion. Actually my entire range of motion has improved tremendously.”

I want Energy Aligned Fitness to feel different from a traditional fitness experience.
You shouldn’t feel like you’re being judged for where you’re starting. You shouldn’t feel like you have to keep up with someone else’s pace. And you shouldn’t feel like you need to push through pain to make progress.
You should feel seen, supported, challenged appropriately, and proud of what your body can do. Because the most successful fitness program isn’t the one that looks impressive on paper. It’s the one that helps you become more capable in your actual life.
Ready to Start?
You don’t need to know exactly which service you need. You don’t need to be “in shape.” And you don’t need to wait until you’re stronger or more flexible to begin. We’ll start where you are and build from there.
